The Second Undergraduate Annual Health Research Fair of Peshawar Medical College was held on 29th and 30th April 2008 in PMC. It was inaugurated by the Regional Director HEC Mr. Farman Ullah Anjum. The Guest of Honor on the Final Day was V.C Khyber Medical University Peshawar, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Daud. Students of various Medical Colleges from all over the country actively participated. More than 80 Posters and abstracts were recieved, which were displayed and read in the Fair.

Peshawar Medical College gets permanent recognition from Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. The Federal Ministry of Health government of Pakistan issues notification No.
F.3-10/2007-MER
to include PMC in first schedule of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council ordinance 1962. The recognition has been granted since October 2005 and onwards.

Federal Minister for Health visited PMC on Dec 12, 2006. He was accompanied by Minster for Health NWFP, Country Representative WHO and Inspector General of the Federal Government Hospitals

Col (R) Hafeez Registrar Riphah International University, Visited PMC on March 9, 2007 and held a formal meeting with Prof. Dr Najib-ul-Haq, Principal PMC on matters of mutal academic and institutional interest

Entry Test

CRITERIA AND PROCEDURE OF ENTRY TEST  
All applicants, residing in Pakistan, will be required to write the College Entrance test at the college campus in Peshawar. Applicants will receive an Entrance Ticket for the Test with necessary instructions at the time of submission of their registration forms.

  • The test will comprise of multiple choice format, in the subjects of the following components each having 25% weightage
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
    • Pakistan studies and Islamyat
  • Applicants residing abroad and who cannot reach Pakistan to appear in the Entrance Test should write one of the following tests instead:
    • SAT I score which should not be less than 1000.
    • MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) with a minimum combined score of 20
