Message of the Dean, Clinical Sciences

Dear Students!

As Dean, Clinical Sciences, I pray that you get your admission to Peshawar Medical College.

As a medical student you need to work hard as the study subjects and curricula are quite many and diverse. The studies are not that difficult either but do require lot of dedication in terms of study hours.

To make a good doctor you should equally concentrate on learning both basic and clinical sciences. It is a package deal. Knowledge of basic sciences without clinical know-how is of no use. Likewise, sound clinical skills are unthinkable without sound knowledge of basic sciences.

If you are committed to be a good doctor, never miss a class in the college or at hospitals. This is my sincere advice to you all.

Take it from me that a good doctor should have excellence in the following three areas:

  1. Basic medical sciences
  2. Clinical field, and
  3. Ethical values and practice

Let me assure you that at PMC you will find a beautiful blend of all the three as part of your learning package. I hope that every one of you will make a really good doctor to serve the ailing humanity in the best possible way.

Prof. Dr Haider Bukhari
Dean Clinical Sciences, PMC
