Dr. Afshan Zahid Khan is working as an Assistant Professor Paediatrics in Peshawar Medical College. She graduated from The Agha Khan University Medical College, Karachi in 1992. She is a Diplomat of American Board USA. She also has two years fellowship in new born intensive care from University of Pittsburgh USA.
One year training in Paediatrics Intensive Care at Wake Forest University, North Carolina USA.

She worked in different hospitals / universities in USA in various capacities. She worked in the capacity of Senior Registrar Paediatrics in Ayub Medical College Abbottabad and served Women Medical College in the capacity of Assistant Professor Paediatrics.

In addition to her clinical skills, she has a vast experience in the filed of Medical Research. Several research papers have been published so far in different National and International journals.
