He did his MBBS from Army Medical College, Rawalpindi and got his FCPS in Haematology from CPSP in 1996.

Served Armed forces as Graded and Classified Pathologist for 19 years in different hospitals of Armed Forces. He attended different workshops and seminars on Haematology.

In 2005, became an approved supervisor for FCPS-II Trainees in Haematology. Has six publications to his credit published in various journals.
