Dr. Faqir Muhammad Anwar is working in the capacity of Assistant Professor Community Medicine in Peshawar Medical College. After his graduation in 1977 he did his MPH from University Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA in 1987.

He has a vast experience in Preventive Medicine. He worked for International Rescue Committee (IRC) in different countries possessing key positions (1980-1992).
