He is graduate of Khyber Medical College and did his M. Phil in Physiology PGMI Lahore, University of Punjab in 1983. He started his professional career as Lecturer Physiology KMC Peshawar in 1980 and got his retirement as Professor of Physiology and Vice Principal Students Affairs and Establishment KMC. He also served as Managing Editor, Journal of Medical Sciences, KMC.
He has 16 original articles and one review article to his credit published in different national journals.
His current position in Peshawar Medical College is Professor & Head of Physiology Department and also Vice Principal Administration.
