Prof. Dr. Inayat ur Rehman Khalil graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in 1966. He did his Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence (DMJ) in 1978 and did his MCPS from College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan in the same year. In 1997 he did his FRCP from Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow, UK. Then he did his FCPS from College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan in 2000.
He remained as Professor and Chairman Department of Forensic Medicine, Khyber Medical College for Nine years. He also remained Vice Principal Student Affairs, Khyber Medical College. He is a member of Health Regulatory Authority (HRA) Peshawar. He is also a member of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council since July 2007.
He is an approved CPSP Supervisor for FCPS Training in Forensic Medicine. He has been appointed as convener and examiner FCPS-II Exam since Dec 2001.
He is also examiner of DMJ Examinations of Punjab University and Liaqat University of Health Sciences. He supervises undergraduate examination of various Medical Colleges of the country. He is on the Panel of PM&DC Inspection Team and PM&DC examination Inspection at various institutions. He is an examiner and Final paper setter in Forensic Medicine, University of Punjab since 1982. He is paper setter and internal examiner in the subject Forensic Medicine in the final LLB examination, University of Peshawar.
12 research papers to his credit published in different medical journals. He attended different workshop, seminars and conferences on National and International level and also delivered lectures. He is awarded Gold Medal by the Chief Minister NWFP Mr. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao in 1994 in recognition of services to the subject and meritorious services. Awarded certificate of merit by the Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar for successful leadership of a working group during the social work program in the summer vacations in 1969. SANAD Class-I of NWFP Red Crescent Society awarded by the Governor NWFP being the Chairman Social Welfare Society of the students of Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in recognition of best performance. Awarded certificate by the Social Welfare Society, Khyber Medical College, Peshawar for voluntarily and selfless services to the ailing humanity in three medical camps in 1997 during the session 1997-98.
